Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Benefits Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retirement plan administration, a deep understanding of compliance regulations, and the ability to provide exceptional client service. This role involves daily consultations with clients, quality review of compliance reports, and the leadership of a small team of professionals when needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultations: Conduct daily consultations with clients to provide expert guidance on plan administration, compliance issues, and overall retirement plan management.
- Compliance Review: Perform quality reviews of compliance reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize FTWilliam software or equivalent to manage plan documents, compliance testing, and other administrative functions.
- Team Leadership: Lead a small team of benefits professionals as needed, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including the plan design and consulting teams, to ensure seamless service and client satisfaction.
- Microsoft Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft software products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to manage client data, prepare reports, and communicate with clients and team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve processes and client outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retirement plan administration or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of FTWilliam software or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASPPA or other relevant certification(s) preferred.
- Experience with IRS and Department of Labor correction programs.
